Founded in 1988 by Barry Thoma as Prairie Hardwoods Manufacturing, our company has grown steadily from our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
In Late 2017 Prairie Hardwoods Manufacturing was renamed Prairie Hardwoods LLC, while maintaining the skilled craftsman's team. The new name and partnership is fundamental to attaining our goal as a company, to invest in new technology and equipment increasing production and efficiency.

Our dedicated and highly skilled craftsmen create wood elements -- mouldings, custom built-ins, cabinets, exterior doors and more -- that can transform any space into warm and rich surroundings. Our Facility
Our 30,000 square foot manufacturing facility features state of the art equipment. The latest Weinig machine and many other state of the art tools allow our artisans to produce some of the finest quality work while maintaining a high level of efficiency.
What we do
Our craftsmen provide a large variety of custom wood products. These include butcher-block tops, wood slat walls that enhance styling and depth in a custom approach to feature areas of any room. Custom stair parts and the ability to produce trim work items to match historical projects are a part of Prairie Hardwoods DNA.
